可乐喷泉的物理
上个月，我曾提过这个超好玩的可乐mentos喷泉。
这个喷泉至少可以喷上一城楼的高度，请看：超变态喷泉影片
很多人都认为是mentos和可乐参在一起时的化学作用（如：苏打+醋）所形成的。
前几天的美国科学人的详细分析非常令我感到意外：Soda Fountains, or Diet Coke, Mentos and Surface Tension
因为形成喷泉的真正原因不是来自化学作用，而是物理作用！
当mentos溶解在可乐时，可乐里的表面张力大幅降低，没办法保留原本在液体内的气态二氧化碳。因为过程非常快，再加上大瓶装可乐的瓶颈帮助加速从瓶内涌出来的可乐。

笨蛋“基丹”的少林铁头功
昨晚的世界杯决赛，最令人意外的不是意大利获胜；而是好好足球先生基丹得少林铁头功。

另类经济学
上个星期刚读完的一本好书 Steven Levitt,”Freakonomics”。
是一本非常写得非常好的书。其实，作者的经济学理论并不另类，只是他的观点，还有研究的课题很另类。比如：
为什么毒贩都和母亲住在一起？？
老师和相扑手都一样？
地产经济和kkk党一样至处？
作者最厉害的地方在于能够从一大堆复杂的数据，很清楚地向读者分析还有解释。
没罗索，而且逻辑贯彻得非常棒，是过去几年来我读过的5本好书之一。
